Chapter Events
A major benefit of EO membership is the opportunity to learn from outstanding
leaders and personalities from industry, academia and government. Local chapters
usually hold eight to ten educational events per year, focusing on a mix between
business, self-improvement, social and cultural issues. Some of the meeting
topics have included mergers & acquisitions, lessons-from-the-edge, meetings
with leading politicians, behind-the-scenes tours and panel discussions on a
range of relevant subjects. In many cases, these programs capitalize on the
availability of high-quality local presenters, thereby educating attendees on
nearby resources and localizing the themes to be explored.
EO Universities
Because so much of the EO experience centers on learning and education, our large global conferences are called "Universities." EO holds these unifying programs twice a year, usually in late February and mid-August. These four-day events attract approximately 500 participants from around the globe. EO Universities combine provocative learning programs, such as keynote presentations, workshops, panel discussions, debates, roundtables, learn-arounds and opportunities for individualized consultation with the worldclass, unique resources and memorable social venues of the host city. These conferences enable members to establish and affirm relationships with fellow entrepreneurs and expand their social and business network.
Executive Education Birthing of Giants (BOG)
Held on the campus of MIT, the Birthing of Giants program is ranked by Inc. magazine as the top program of its kind. The world's leading entrepreneurial figures as well as professors from Boston, Harvard and MIT form the faculty for this renowned program, which has been continuously delivering value for more than ten years.
The program is designed to bring together the next generation of entrepreneurial giants for a time of intense blending of practice and theory with a major focus on leadership. Spanning 12 days over a period of three years, the program covers the six fundamental areas of business: management, finance, human resources, marketing and sales, operations and research, and development.
MIT/WEO Advanced Business Program
The MIT/WEO Advanced Business Program is a learning program designed for today's leading entrepreneurs over age 40. This specialized program — held over four days for two consecutive years — is facilitated by top business experts and participants in EO's highly-acclaimed Birthing of Giants (BOG) program.
This program is designed to bring together 60 entrepreneurs to MIT's suburban campus for an intensive four-day course that delves into relevant topics pertinent to maturing businesses, such as mergers and acquisitions, wealth preservation and planning, mid-life transitions, launching a new business (serial entrepreneurship), advanced management and leadership, and hiring executive leadership.
Regional Conferences
EO, or several chapters working together, host regional conferences, rotating amoung
the four regions: Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America. These
three-day events not only attract members from these geographic chapters but
from other parts of the globe as well. These conferences provide an ideal venue
for member interaction within a given region and have proven to be a valuable
addition to the educational opportunities available outside individual chapters.
